| In Tuesday night's Ventura 2009 awards (organized by PE group Enterprise Investors), nominees for "The Most Dynamic Company" were: AVG Technologies, Dystrybucja Polska, Harper Hygienics, and Kruk. Category winnners were AVG Technologies and Dystrybucja Polska. In the category of "Most Effective Company", Magellan won, besting the other nominees AVG and Skarbiec Asset Management Holding. The "Event of the Year" nominees were Magellan for its successful bond financing; Nordglass for its rapid export growth; and Zelmer for successful expansion in Russia - and the winner was Nordglass. The Manager of the Year went to J.R. Smith, CEO of AVG Technologies. Other nominees were Krzysztof Kawalec, President of Magellan, and Robert Neymann, President of Harper Hygienics.
